IVF Support
For couples undergoing fertility treatment, acupuncture can support the IVF process while keeping you connected to yourself and helping to soothe the inevitable physical and emotional issues that surface during this period.
We have different protocols to support:
- IUI
- Cryo-transfers
- IVF/ICSI.
Different parts of the protocols concentrate on:
- improving egg quality
- improving thickness of the uterine lining
- nourishing the blood and improving circulation in the pelvic area
- regulating side-effects of fertility medication
- supporting implantation
- decreasing stress levels
While we accompany you through your fertility treatment, we recommend allowing at least three months preparation time before beginning any assisted reproduction procedure.
The preparation period is used to regulate the menstrual cycle and improve egg quality. This time is also important as it allows us to understand how sensitive the body is to acupuncture before beginning to work around an IVF treatment. Where necessary, we will also advise on changes to diet and lifestyle to support the fertility treatment.
